A Kindred Spirit

In other news, there's a chap both myself and the boyfriend find so intriguing who can be regularly found ensconced in our local watering-hole reading a plethora of fascinating things. Not only this, but he seems to be able to read in any situation. Take Friday night for example - packed full, nowhere to sit, huge levels of drunken rowdiness - he leans against the wall close to the bar and pulls out? The Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám. I am very impressed indeed.

    1. He is so cool Dana :-) One day I might even summon up the courage to actually speak to him rather than just taking clandestine photographs of his pockets!

  2. Oh I do love seeing what other people are reading, especially the ones I don't know. The Kindle will kill this... well ruin it a bit as fortunately not everyone is a convert.

    1. Me too :-) I am faaaarr too nosy for my own good, as you can see! I suppose my paparazzi shot was slightly inspired by Thomas @ My Porch's posts spying on people reading on the bus. This particular chap is so old school I am confident he won't go for the kindle route (touch wood). Especially to read his Persian poetry!!

    1. Hi Claire

Lovely to meet you! You also have a lovely new blog and I look forward to reading your posts in the future :-)

He didn't notice but only just! I got told off by the boyfriend for leaving the flash on my camera by mistake, blinding everyone in the bar and drawing attention to myself! I'm really not the most subtle of people....
