It's extremely heartening to see that I'm not the only one who has had to pick this up time and time again!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11911232519231082170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3453339569920477816.post-888356379259676312012-02-26T16:47:37.315+00:002012-02-26T16:47:37.315+00:00I've tried to read this three or four times bu...I've tried to read this three or four times but have always ended up putting it aside. That was a great review but even so I'm not sure I'll be racing to the bookcase to get this out again in a hurry.Victoria Corbyhttp://victoriacorby.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3453339569920477816.post-43897407348198300792012-02-26T16:10:08.636+00:002012-02-26T16:10:08.636+00:00Hi Simon :-D I'm feeling a bit tingly about so...Hi Simon :-D I'm feeling a bit tingly about some big books at the mo...particularly the big Dickens numbers that are soon (hopefully) to arrive on my doorstep. Woo hoo! The Crimson Petal and the White was HUGE but simply amazing and I was so sad to finish it and the boyfriend adores The Count of Monte Cristo, more like a doorstop than a novel. However I'm glad I'm not the only one who struggled to pick this up one!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11911232519231082170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3453339569920477816.post-49972862828716880952012-02-26T16:05:21.491+00:002012-02-26T16:05:21.491+00:00Thanks Spangle x I haven't seen the film yet b...Thanks Spangle x I haven't seen the film yet but to be honest I think I'm all Cider-Housed out for now! The thing that puts me off is the size. I am about to embark on a chunkster or two as I want to read those bigger books you get completely lost in, I have forgotten the joy that can have, though of course some little books pack a punch too.

I am hoping you have got my Twitter DM by the way!Simon (Savidge Reads)http://savidgereads.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3453339569920477816.post-57019624725848783682012-02-25T12:52:58.928+00:002012-02-25T12:52:58.928+00:00I have seen the film version and like you, have tr...I have seen the film version and like you, have tried to read this book, but something else caught my attention.
